Perhaps the category "white men" is overbroad and too vague to make any kind of meaningful characterization. One day we may abandon such facile categorizations of each other in favor of something more substantive and relevant.

It's telling that "white men" has become a byword, but to speak this way in intellectual terms is to subvert the very tradition that has struggled against what made it that way. (Note - I have not read the article.)
